Where do I park?
There are several options for parking near downtown Como. you can leave your car on the street in the paid parking lots marked by blue stripes or choose one of these facilities:

How do I get there by train?
You can get to Como San Giovanni station by using trains on Trenitalia’s Suburban line S11 Chiasso-Como-Milano-Rho or reach Como Lago station by trains on Trenord’s line R17 Como-Saronno-Milano Cadorna.
From the station you can then use city transportation or a cab to reach the Subacco pier.

How do I arrive by bus?
The city lines that stop in the vicinity of Subacco Pier are: 4 – C30 – C31 – C40 – C 50 – C62

Is it possible to request to have the tour start at another point on the lake (pick on)?
Except in special cases to be agreed upon with the management, no departure point other than Subacco Pier in Como can be provided.
Is a briefing provided for the rental?
Yes, there is an approximately 15-minute briefing (included in the rental time) before departure in which all directions are given and safety maneuvers are explained to ensure the safety of the people on board.
The boat will be given for hire only if, at the end of the briefing, the technical staff finds that the driver is able to take it without causing harm or danger.
Is it possible to bring alcohol on board the rental boats?
To ensure everyone’s safety, it is not possible to carry alcohol on board, consume alcohol or be intoxicated at the time of hire.
Is there a penalty if I deliver the rental boat after the scheduled time?
Yes, there is a 50€ penalty for each hour of delay from the agreed return time.
Is it possible to anchor the rental boat and walk away?
It is absolutely not possible to leave the boat unattended without at least one adult person skilled in maneuvering on board.
How do I arrive by car?
You can reach Como by using the A9 highway either coming from Milan or from Switzerland, taking the Como Centro exit, then following the signs to the city center.
Can I get on and off when I want?
There is no docking for tourists to board and disembark. Private and shared boat tours have arrival and departure from Como’s Subacco Pier and include parts of sailing and stops offshore for swimming.
What boats are the tours conducted with?
All Subacco boats are state-of-the-art vessels, equipped with every comfort and provided with the highest safety standards.
Is it necessary to have a boat license to rent a boat?
It is not necessary to have a boat license or sailing experience in order to charter a boat. You only need to show up with a valid ID.
In case I arrive later than the scheduled tour or rental time, what happens?
In case of private tour the boat will wait for you but the lost time will not be made up. For the shared boat tour we recommend punctuality as, except in exceptional cases, we will not wait for any late passengers.
In case of charter the time of the delay will not be made up.
Is it possible to make moorings during the tour or charter?
No, it is not possible to dock at any port on the lake either when touring or chartering. It is possible to sail along the shoreline and stop, where permitted, for bathing or relaxation.
